Deep groove ball Bearing. or single row radial, ball bearings, used as conveyor roller bearing.  It usually consist of a pair of rings, a retainer, a single row of steel balls. Its structure is simple, easy to use, non-separable, It is the most widely used type of bearing. This type of bearing is mainly used to bear radial load, but it can also bear a certain amount of axial load in either direction.

Compared with other bearings, deep groove ball bearing has smaller friction coefficient and higher limiting rotate speed, it is more durable and universal with low noise and is easier to install. And the lubrication grease is sealed in the deep groove ball bearing. The sealed deep groove ball bearing could keep excellent balance between the friction and movement with high quality lubrication grease.

Types

Basic type; With snap ring groove on the outer ring (-N); With one shield (-Z) on one side or two shields (-2Z) on both sides; With one seal (-RS) on one side or two seals (-2RS) on both sides.

What is the difference between using a shield or a seal as a ball bearing closure?

Shields or seals are often installed to retain lubricant and to prevent contamination from entering the bearing. While a shield contacts the outer ring and does not come in contact with the inner ring, the seal generally comes in contact with both the inner and outer rings. Torque or drag is lower with a shield than with a seal. Alternately, the seal provides a higher degree of protection from contamination. Shields and seals are available in a variety of materials and configurations.
